The Career Exploration Centre provides you with an opportunity to:
- Identify your skills, interests and career options
- Gain a deeper understanding of your personality and values
- Research the job market
- Plan your future
Through a 2-week series of group workshops and individual assessment,
we will help you connect your skills and interests with today's job
market. We will assist you in developing an action plan that includes
your short term and long term career goals as well as the steps you
need to reach them.
You will benefit if you:
- Want to clarify your career direction
- Have multiple interests and want a focussed destination
- Would like to align your career goals with the external job market
The Career Exploration Centre offers:
- A variety of career assessment tools
- Interactive learning in a supportive environment
- Individual career counselling
- Labour market information
- Referral through Action Planning
- Wheelchair accessible
Eligibility:
- If you are currently receiving Employment Insurance (EI)
- Have received Employment Insurance in the past three years
- Have received Maternity/Paternity Benefits in the past five years
- You must have a referral from an Employment Assessment Centre
